Excited to celebrate the release of Searching For You, Orphan Train Book 3 written by Jody Hedlund and published by Tantor Media.

Narrating this beautiful, poignant series has been such a joy, highlight and honor!

Hedlund is a wonderful writer who creates a world filled with much heart, soul and a wide-array of rich, multi-faceted characters that I had so much fun bringing to life.

Also, check out With You Always (Book 1), Together Forever (Book 2) and the prequel novella, An Awakened Heart (published by Two Words Publishing) for more!

New Play – THREE ELIZABETHS – on stage in early 2019!

So it begins. Great first rehearsal today of new play THREE ELIZABETHS written & directed by Tony nominated director and choreographer, Tony Tanner.

I couldn’t be more excited to be playing Queen Elizabeth I, alongside an incredible cast! The premise of this piece is so unique – Elizabeth the First, in three different stages of her life. Three different actresses on stage at the same time – Elizabeth the Younger, Elizabeth the Queen, Elizabeth the Dowager. Figures from their past re-emerge and interact with them.

We did a staged reading of this play a little while ago, receiving a wonderful response, that has now prompted a full production.

Stay tuned for performance details coming in early 2019!

An Ice Road, a Body and an Unsolved Murder: THE STRANGER ON THE ICE Releases Today!

A frozen body appears on an ice road, a unsolved murder beckons from the past, and a friend mysteriously disappears as darkness swirls around the town of Inuvik, Canada. The Stranger on the Ice  by Bernadette Calonego (translated by Gerald Chapple) is a riveting tale of mystery and romance that was absolutely thrilling to record. Many thanks to Brilliance Audio for the opportunity to narrate this exciting book, and to a very generous language teacher named Anna (a resident of Inuvik), who gave her time to help me with the many Inuvialuit words in the book.

The Stranger on the Ice releases today in Audio and Print.

A ‘Contemplative Immediacy’ in House of Dreams – Review from AudioFile Magazine!

House of DreamsSo pleased to see this nice review in AudioFile Magazine for House of Dreams: The Life of L.M. Montgomery. I enjoyed working on this deeply moving book more than I can express. My thanks to Candlewick on Brilliance Audio for the opportunity!

HOUSE OF DREAMS: The Life of L.M. Montgomery

by Liz Rosenberg | Read by Susan Hanfield

Children Ages 10+ • 7.75 hrs. • Unabridged • © 2018

This audiobook introduces listeners to Maud Montgomery, a much more complicated woman than the L.M. Montgomery they know as the author of ANNE OF GREEN GABLES. Maud was plagued all her life by depression, unsupportive relations, and legal difficulties, finding relief in education and her writing. She is one of Canada’s most successful and celebrated writers. Susan Hanfield’s narration varies from an almost musical quality to a faster, sharper reading when discussing Maud’s husband’s mental illness. For Maud’s first-person journal entries, she uses a soft, contemplative voice that brings an immediacy to the account. This is a title that fans of L.M. Montgomery will enjoy, as it will give then insight into this prolific and beloved author and her writing. E.J.F. © AudioFile 2018, Portland, Maine [Published: JUNE 2018]

Rebel at Work: Rebelliously Releasing Today on Audio!

Who wants to follow all the rules? Rebel at Work: How to Innovate and Drive Results When You Aren’t the Boss is a smart and sassy business book by Natalie Neelan, published by Tantor Audio, that I had so much fun narrating!

Neelan writes from an unconventional perspective, geared toward the employee rather than the executive. What I loved about Rebel at Work is that it’s a really fresh take that doesn’t just cover the same old ground in the same old way. Now, I’m a rebel too!

Releasing today on Audible and Amazon.com.

Carousel on Broadway – A Truly Magical Night!

I am still in awe thinking about the Broadway revival of Rodgers & Hammerstein’s Carousel, directed by Jack O’Brien! What a treat to see this powerfully rich show on my last night in beautiful NYC. The emotionally stirring music, gorgeous choreography, exquisite set design and absolutely stunning performances, literally took my breath away!

I was especially looking forward to seeing Jessie Mueller on stage, as I’ve been following her career since she starred in Beautiful a few years back and I just love her work, always fresh, real and so captivating.  Joshua Henry was riveting as Billy Bigelow and Renée Fleming brought the house down with “You’ll Never Walk Alone.”

If you are in NYC or planning a trip, do check out this incredible show! Now playing at The Imperial Theatre.

The Covenantal Life – Now Available on Audio!

Excited to share the audiobook release of The Covenantal Life by Sarah Ivill published by Christian Audio.  This was an incredibly fascinating book that I so enjoyed working on!

In The Covenantal Life, Sarah Ivill  encourages us to delve deeper into covenant theology so that we can begin to get a firmer understanding of scripture and thus start to think more biblically as we face the various circumstances in our lives.  By applying these principles, Ivill suggests that we will then begin to more readily experience how the beauty of theology and community can transform our lives.
