Had the pleasure of doing this VO for a very cool new company, StirWorks, that is officially launching today! Yay! This is one very smart desk – it senses when you should stand, sit, or breathe! Oh and it burns calories too. I told you it was smart…

This is a comedic short that I had the pleasure of working on with Jeremy Saville about “the thing that those people do when they’re in that place where the stuff happens…” The title of this piece is aptly named Non-Descript.
Susan Hanfield portrays Judge Brown in Island Song, a film directed by David Massey, starring Richard Gant. Island Song won the Audience Award at the 2013 Pan African Film Festival.
About the Movie:
Superstar Los Angeles D. J., Maurice Manning journeys to the mystical Virgin Islands to find himself caught up in a dark, criminal underworld of payola and illegal contraband. It’s a harrowing trip that rips him out of his self-absorption toward redemption. Believing he is in control of his world, Maurice uncovers the dark figures pulling the strings of his career. Through his mission to locate a pirate broadcaster hidden in the rainforest, he learns that something far more sinister is going on. His target, the mythic and elusive figure known only as Zerai, a prophet, poet and warrior, whose life-long goal is to keep the islands safe. It’s Zerai that teaches Maurice humility and charity. Maurice learns this lesson in a life and death struggle, when he discovers that he was used by his boss, not just to find Zerai, his new mentor and benefactor, but to set the island mystic up to be brutally murdered. Maurice discovers to his horror how he has been manipulated. The revenge he wreaks upon the criminals may not save his heart, but perhaps, will save his soul.
Have you ever found yourself face to face with a Captcha that drove you crazy? Well then this comedy is for you. Here is a short that I had the pleasure of working on with the very talented Jeremy Saville who not only wrote this piece but also plays my hubby, Jim. Poor Jim is just trying to get us some concert tickets when he runs smack dab into the clutches of the evil Captcha.
This has to be one of my most favorite experiences as an audiobook narrator, to have had the opportunity to narrate a book series. Ru Emerson (Xena: Warrior Princess) wrote a wonderfully action-packed 6 book series called Night-Threads. I was given the incredible honor of playing the central role, Jennifer, who is not only smart, sassy and courageous, but also has a wry sense of humor. She gets involved in time travel, swordplay and of course, romance. I had an absolute blast working on all 6 books starting with The Calling of the Three. My heartfelt thanks to Skyboat Media for this awesome opportunity. It was an amazingly fun journey I won’t soon forget!
Book 1: The Calling of the Three
Book 2: The Two in Hiding
Book 3: One Land, One Duke
Book 4: The Craft of Light
Book 5: The Art of the Sword
Book 6: The Science of Power

The “Have a Seat Campaign” is a campaign launched by the Players Directory that benefits the SAG Foundation Actors Center. After getting listed in the Players Directory, Susan was one of many SAG members who entered a drawing for a $500 donation to be made in his/her name to the new Actors Center. In addition to the donation, the winner would also have a chair dedicated in their honor. Upon receiving the exciting news that she won, Susan’s name and a favorite inspirational quote was engraved and placed on one of the seats in the Actors Center at Sag/Aftra where it will remain a permanent fixture in the Center’s screening room. Pictured here is Susan having a look at her newly acquired chair!
