Matchmaker Magic: Love Returns in Book 2!

saved-by-the-matchmaker-WPfeature-300x224_aLooking for your perfect match? 💘 Happy Release Day to Saved by the Matchmaker, the latest in A Shanahan Match series, written by bestselling author Jody Hedlund! I loved every minute of narrating Book 2.

In Saved by The Matchmaker, we catch up with Finola’s younger sister, Enya. Enya’s troubled marriage with Bryan Haynes has ended, leaving her heart shattered, her body pregnant, and her future uncertain.

But don’t worry—our favorite never-by-the-books Matchmaker, Bellamy McKenna, is back and ready to work his magic. This time, he’s setting his sights on steamboat captain Sullivan O’Brien, who’s under pressure from his father to marry or give up his life on the water.

Sullivan is gruff, scarred from a heroic rescue, and the last thing he wants is to get married. His one condition for Bellamy? Find him a bride who’s unattractive, quiet, and indifferent to appearances. But Enya is anything but that—she’s beautiful, outspoken, and a self-proclaimed spitfire. 🔥

It seems like an impossible match, but that’s what Matchmakers are for, right? Bellamy suspects that what Enya really needs is someone who will treasure her for who she is, and he has a feeling Sullivan might just be the man for the job…

Congratulations to Jody Hedlund on your stirring new release, and thank you to Tantor Media for bringing this heartwarming gem my way! 💖

Saved by the Matchmaker is now available, and I couldn’t be more delighted to see that this beautiful new book is listed as the #1 New Release in Christian Historical Romance on Audible – so go get it! 💘

YEARS by LaVyrle Spencer is Now on Audio! #historicalromance

I couldn’t be more excited to celebrate the audiobook release of YEARS  by LaVyrle Spencer, published by Tantor Audio. I absolutely love Spencer’s writing and her deep, rich characters moved me from laughter to tears on more than one occasion.

Set in 1918, amidst the beautiful and sometimes harrowing landscape of North Dakota, Spencer offers us an evocative glimpse into this time period and the people that called Alamo, North Dakota their home.

YEARS centers on a young feisty schoolteacher who won’t give up on her dream to educate, no matter the hardships she comes against, and the man she unwittingly falls in love with. A man who has long given up on love and instead pours his heart into the land he works, day in and day out. A push and pull begins to happen between these two spirited characters, as they fight against a love that will not be quieted …

YEARS is now available on Audible and at Amazon.com

1-2-3 Parenting with Heart – now available on Audio!

parentingheart

I so enjoyed narrating 1-2-3 Parenting with Heart  by Thomas W. Phelan, PhD and Chris Webb, published by Tantor Media. This incredibly helpful and informative book is packed full of great tips and suggestions to help guide parents into creating a calm and godly household while using a proven three-step discipline to lovingly care for their children.

One of my favorite aspects of 1-2-3 Parenting with Heart are the parent / child scenarios used to illustrate the ideas contained within.  One scenario, which still makes me smile, is when a six-year-old boy threatens to run away from home, packing a bag and walking out the front door. Five minutes later, this frustrated little boy returns to tell his parents that he can’t run away after all…because he’s not allowed to cross the street! A parenting win.

Celebrations from 2017 and Cheers to 2018!

Wishing you a wonderful 2018 – may this new year be filled with much joy, laughter, good health and your deepest dreams coming true!  As I look back on 2017, I am so grateful for the many memories, opportunities and experiences that this year brought. Here are a few of the highlights:

As an audiobook narrator, 2017 began with much excitement and the tremendous honor of receiving a 2017 Audie Award nomination in the Young Adult Category for The Game of Love and Death by Martha Brockenbrough, published by Scholastic Audio and produced by Deyan Audio. The year continued at an exhilarating pace with the opportunity to form new relationships with publishers, such as Tantor Media, Brilliance Audio and Recorded Books, along with many wonderful new authors, where I had the joy of narrating a wide variety of fascinating titles.

As an actor, three films that I had the pleasure of working on were screened around the world! 96 Souls, a sci-fi feature directed by Stanley Jacobs, in which I play a sympathetic shelter processor, acquired worldwide distribution and began it’s nationwide theatrical release on May 26th beginning at the Laemmle Music Hall in Beverly Hills. Je Suis (i AM) a hard-hitting short film directed by Faith Strongheart made it’s theatrical debut this year at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival where it screened at the short film corner. Magdalene, a 1930s period piece film, directed by Rebecca Cremona, in which I play the lead and title character, screened in Malta this year at the Malta Film Expo!

On stage, I had the great joy of playing Regan in William Shakespeare’s King Lear directed by Tony Tanner at the T. U. Theatre. I was also thrilled to perform at UCLA this year as Phedre in Jean Racine’s Phedre directed by Dennis Gersten.

Farewell, 2017! It’s been an amazing year and one that I’m extremely thankful for.
